2249 – ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn ʿUmar informed us; Ismaʿil ibn Muhammad informed us; he said: Jaʿfar ibn Muhammad ibn Shakir narrated to us; he said: Surayj ibn al-Nuʿman narrated to us; he said: Fulayh ibn Sulayman—through Hilal ibn ʿAli, from ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn Abi ʿAmrah, from Abu Hurayrah—reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ⦗1262⦘ said: “In Paradise there is a tree whose shade a mounted rider could traverse for one hundred years. Recite, if you wish: ‘and an outspread shade’ (Surah al-Waqiʿah 56:30).” Al-Bukhari has also recorded it through Muhammad ibn Sinan, from Fulayh.
