2239 – And ʿAlī ibn ʿUmar narrated to us; Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad ibn Mālik narrated to us; he said: Ismāʿīl ibn Isḥāq narrated to us; he said: Ibrāhīm ibn al-Ḥajjāj narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd al-Wārith narrated to us; he said: Ayyūb narrated to us, from Abu Rajāʾ, from ʿImrān ibn Ḥuṣayn, who said: The Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—said, “I looked into Paradise and saw that most of its people are the poor; and I looked into the Fire and found that most of its people are women.” Al-Bukhārī recorded this ḥadīth through the narrations of Salm ibn Zurayr and ʿAwf from Abu Rajāʾ, and he added: ʿAbd al-Wārith also corroborated them.
