2225 – Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn ʿAli ibn Hamid related to us; he said: ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hatim related to us; he said: Abu Saʿid al-Ashajj narrated to us; he said: ʿIsa ibn Yunus and Abu Usamah narrated to us, from Ibn ʿAwn, from Nafiʿ, from Ibn ʿUmar, who traced it back to the Prophet ﷺ concerning the Almighty’s words, “On the Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds” (Q 83:6). He said: “They will stand immersed in their sweat until it reaches the middle of their ears.” Both transmitters recorded this narration.
