2222 – ʿUbayd Allah ibn Muhammad informed us; he said: ʿUthman narrated to us; he said: Hanbal narrated to us; he said: I heard Abū ʿAbd Allah—meaning Ahmad ibn Hanbal—say, “We believe in the ṣirāṭ (the Bridge), the mīzān (the Scale), Paradise and Hellfire, and the Reckoning; we neither deny any of this nor entertain any doubt about it.”
