2221 – ʿĪsā ibn ʿAlī told us; he said: ʿUbayd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz narrated to us; he said: Abū Naṣr al-Tammār narrated to us; he said: Ḥammād, from Layth, from Abū ʿUthmān, from Salmān al-Fārisī, who said:

“On the Day of Resurrection the Bridge will be set in place, and its edge will be as sharp as a razor. The angels will ask, ‘Lord, who is to cross over this?’ He will reply, ‘Whomever I will of My creation.’ They will say, ‘Our Lord, we have not worshipped You with the worship You truly deserve.’”
