2209 – ʿUbayd Allah ibn Muhammad reported to us; ʿUthman ibn Ahmad likewise reported to us. He said: Hanbal ibn Ishaq narrated to us; he said: Abu Nuʿaym narrated to us; he said: Yusuf ibn Suhayb narrated to us; he said: Musa ibn Abi al-Mukhtar, from Bilal al-ʿAbsi, from Hudhayfah, who said:

“Gabriel will be in charge of the Balance on the Day of Resurrection, setting the people one against another: the good deeds of the wrongdoer will be taken and transferred to the one who was wronged; and if he has no good deeds, some of the sins of the wronged person will be taken and laid upon the wrongdoer.”
