2208 – ʿĪsā ibn ʿAlī reported to us; ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad al-Baghawī likewise reported to us. He said: Abū Naṣr al-Tammār ⦗1245⦘ narrated to us; he said: Ḥammād narrated to us, from Layth, from Abū ʿUthmān al-Nahdī, from Salmān, who said:

“The Balance will be set up, and it has two pans. Were the heavens, the earth, and everyone in them placed in one pan, it would contain them. The angels will ask, ‘Who will weigh this?’ and He will reply, ‘Whomever I will from My creation.’ The angels will then say, ‘We have not worshipped You as You truly deserve to be worshipped.’”
