2193 — Muhammad ibn al-Husayn al-Fārisi narrated to us; he said: Abū Bakr Muhammad ibn Ḥamdūn ibn Khālid ibn Ḥamdūn of Bālis narrated to us; he said: Isḥāq ibn Khālid ibn Yazīd al-Bālisi narrated to us; he said: Ḥajjāj narrated from Ibn Jurayj, who said: Abū al-Zubayr informed me that he heard Jābir say:
Umm Mubashshir told me that she heard the Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—while he was in the house of Ḥafṣah, say, “None of those who gave the pledge beneath the Tree shall enter the Fire, if Allah so wills.” She replied, “Indeed they will!” and he rebuked her. Ḥafṣah then recited, “There is none of you but will pass over it” (Qur’an 19:71). The Prophet answered, “Then We shall save those who were mindful of Allah and leave the wrongdoers therein, fallen on their knees” (Qur’an 19:72).
