2177 – Al-Ḥasan ibn ʿUthmān reported to us; Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥasan al-Naqqās reported to us; he said: I heard Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn al-Faḍl, the qāḍī of Samarkand, say: “I heard my father say: ‘I removed something from the road and declared, “The reward for this is for my shaykh.” Later I saw him in a dream and he said, “My son, it has indeed reached me.”’”
