2171 – Jaʿfar ibn ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Muhammad ibn Harun likewise; he said: Abu Rabiʿ related to us, from Abu ʿAwanah, from ʿAsim, from Dhakwan, from Abu Hurayrah, who said:

“When a man dies and leaves behind a child, a rank is raised for him. He asks, ‘My Lord, what is this?’ and he is told, ‘It is your child’s plea for your forgiveness.’”
