206—Ahmad ibn Umar ibn Muhammad al-Isfahani informed us. He said: Abd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn Ziyad al-Naysaburi informed us. He said: Muhammad ibn Ghalib al-Antaki narrated to us. He said: Hajjaj narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, who said: Ziyad ibn Sa'd informed me, from Muhammad ibn Zayd ibn Muhajir ibn Qunfudh, from Sa'id ibn Abi Sa'id al-Maqburi, ⦗141⦘ from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, who said: “By Him in whose Hand is my soul, you will surely follow the ways of those who came before you, span by span and cubit by cubit, until, if they entered a lizard’s burrow, you too would enter it.” They said, “Who are they, O Messenger of Allah? The People of the Book?” He said, “Then who else?” Al-Bukhari recorded it.
