2152. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Muḥammad reported: al-Ḥusayn ibn Yaḥyā told us; he said: al-Ḥasan ibn Muḥammad narrated to us; he said: Abū al-Aṣbagh narrated to us; he said: al-Mājishūn narrated to us; he said: I heard Muḥammad ibn al-Munkadir say:

“It has reached me that Allah, exalted is He, appoints over the disbeliever in his grave a blind creature holding an iron whip whose tip is a glowing ember the size of a camel’s hump. With it the creature keeps striking him until the Day of Resurrection, yet no one sees him or hears his cries so as to take pity on him.”
