203—Ubayd Allah ibn Ahmad ibn Ali al-Muqri’ informed us. He said: Muhammad ibn Abd Allah ibn Ibrahim informed us. He said: Muhammad ibn Khalaf al-Marwazi narrated to us. He said: Musa ibn Ibrahim al-Marwazi narrated to us. He said: Musa ibn Ja‘far ibn Muhammad narrated to us. He said: Ali said:
“People will come who will dispute with you. Refute them with the sunnah, for those versed in the sunnah have greater knowledge of the Book of Allah.”
٢٠٣ - أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْمُقْرِئُ , قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ , قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ , قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ , قَالَ: قَالَ عَلِيٌّ: «سَيَأْتِي قَوْمٌ يُجَادِلُونَكُمْ فَخُذُوهُمْ بِالسُّنَنِ؛ فَإِنَّ أَصْحَابَ السُّنَنِ أَعْلَمُ بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ»
