2127 – ʿAlī b. Muḥammad b. Aḥmad b. Yaʿqūb narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Abī Ḥātim narrated to us; he said: ʿAmr b. ʿAlī b. ʿAbd Allāh al-Awdi narrated to us; he said: Wakīʿ, from Shuʿbah, from —; and (with another chain):

2128 – And I am ʿUbayd Allāh b. Aḥmad: al-Ḥusayn b. Ismāʿīl narrated to us; he said: Muḥammad b. Ḥassān narrated to us; he said: Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd narrated to us; he said: Shuʿbah, from ʿAwn b. Abī Juḥayfah, from his father, from al-Barāʾ, from Abū Ayyūb, who said:

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard the voices of some Jews at sunset and said, ‘These Jews are being punished in their graves.’”

Their wording is identical; both transmitters recorded it through the narration of Yaḥyā.
