2120 – ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿUmar reported to us. Muhammad ibn Ismāʿīl ibn Isḥāq said: Aḥmad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb narrated to us; he said: Abū al-Mughīrah narrated to us; he said: ʿAmr ibn ʿAmr, Abū ʿUthmān al-Aḥmūsī, narrated to us, from al-Mukhāriq ibn Abī al-Mukhāriq, from Ibn ʿUmar, that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“My Basin extends between Aden and ʿAmmān. It is colder than ice, sweeter than honey, and more fragrant than musk. Its drinking cups are like the stars in the sky. Whoever takes one draught from it will never feel thirst again for all eternity. The very first to reach it will be the destitute among the Emigrants.”
Someone asked, “Who are they, O Messenger of Allah?” He replied, “Those whose hair is unkempt, whose faces are worn and pale, whose clothes are stained—people for whom the bolted doors are not opened and whom the luxuriant women do not marry. They are the ones who give everything that is due from them yet do not insist on what is owed to them.”
