2113 – ʿAbd Allah ibn Muslim ibn Yahya narrated to us; he said: al-Ḥusayn ibn Ismaʿil narrated to us; he said: Muhammad ibn Yazid—the brother of Karkhaweyh—narrated to us; he said: Rawḥ ibn Aslam narrated to us; he said: Shaddad narrated to us, from Abū al-Wāziʿ, who said: I heard Abū Barzah say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say:
“The distance between the two sides of my Pond is like the distance from Aylah to Sanʿāʾ—a journey of one month. Its width equals its length. Into it flow two spouts from Paradise, one of silver and the other of gold. Its water is whiter than milk, sweeter than honey, and cooler than snow. Inside it are pitchers as numerous as the stars in the sky. Whoever drinks from it will never thirst again until he enters Paradise.”
Its chain of transmission is sound according to Muslim’s criteria.
