2076 – Muhammad ibn al-Husayn al-Hashimi reported to us; he said: al-Husayn ibn Ismaʿil narrated to us; he said: Zayd ibn Akhram related to us; he said: Salim ibn Nuh the perfumer transmitted to us, from ʿUmar ibn ʿAmir, from Qatadah, from Abu al-Mulayh, from ʿAwf ibn Malik, from the Prophet ﷺ who said: “A messenger came to me from my Lord and offered me a choice: either half of my community would enter Paradise, or I could have the intercession. I chose the intercession.”
