2034 – ʿUbayd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn Ziyad al-Naysaburi reported: ʿAli ibn ʿAbdan related to us; ʿAbd Allah ibn Hashim related to us; Sufyan ibn ʿUyaynah narrated to us, from ʿAmr, from Jabir ibn ʿAbd Allah, who traced it back to the Prophet ﷺ: “War is deception.” This narration is recorded by al-Bukhari and Muslim.
