2024 — ʿĪsā ibn ʿAlī informed us; ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad al-Baghawī reported; he said: ʿAbbās ibn Muḥammad narrated to us; he said: Shabābah ibn Sawwār narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn al-Mājishūn, on the authority of Muḥammad ibn al-Munkadir, related ⦗1151⦘:

“There was a man in Medina known as ʿImrān Baqarah. He was reckless in sinning against himself. When he died and his bier was brought out, the people dispersed from around it, but I remained where I was; I disliked that Allah should see me giving up hope of His mercy for him.”
