2018 — ʿUbayd Allah ibn Ahmad reported to us; he said: Ahmad reported; he said: Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn al-Nadr narrated to us; he said: Muʿāwiyah ibn ʿAmr narrated, from Abū Isḥāq, from Hishām, from Muhammad, who said: “We know of no one—neither among the Companions of Muhammad ﷺ nor among the Successors after them—who ever refrained from performing the funeral prayer over a member of the People of the Qiblah, fearing sin in that regard.”
