2014 — Al-Ḥasan ibn ʿUthmān informed us; he said: Ḥamzah ibn Muḥammad informed us; he said: ʿAbbās ibn Muḥammad narrated to us; he said: Kathīr ibn Hishām narrated to us; he said: Jaʿfar ibn Burqān narrated to us; he said: Maymūn ibn Mihrān, from Abū Umāmah, who said: “I was present at Ṣiffīn, and the combatants would neither finish off a wounded man, nor pursue one who had turned away, nor strip a fallen fighter of his belongings.”
