2011 — Muhammad ibn al-Husayn al-Fārisi narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd al-Rahmān ibn Abī Hātim narrated to us; he said: Abū Saʿīd al-Ashajj narrated to us; he said: Ibn Idrīs narrated to us, from his uncle, from Salamah ibn Kuhayl, from Abū al-Zarraʾ, who said: I heard ʿAbd Allah ibn Masʿūd say, “No one will remain in the Fire except four kinds of people. Allah the Exalted said: ‘What has landed you in Saqar?’ (74:43). They will answer, ‘We were not among those who prayed, nor did we feed the destitute; we used to drift along with the idle, and we used to deny the Day of Recompense.’”
