1991 — ʿĪsā ibn ʿAlī related to us; ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad al-Baghawī narrated to us; he said: ⦗1139⦘ ʿAlī ibn al-Jaʿd narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd—meaning Ibn Bahrām—reported to me; he said: Shahr ibn Ḥawshab informed me; he said: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ghunaym narrated to us that Abū Dharr told him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“Allah says: ‘My servant, so long as you worship Me and pin your hopes on Me, I have forgiven you despite what is within you. My servant, if you meet Me with sins filling the breadth of the earth, while not associating anything with Me, I shall meet you with a like breadth of forgiveness.’”
