186—Muhammad ibn ʿAbd Allah ibn al-Qasim informed us. Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Yaʿqub informed us. He said: My grandfather, Yaʿqub ibn Shaybah, narrated to us. He said: Abu ʿAbd al-Rahman al-Muqriʾ, ʿAbd Allah ibn Yazid, narrated to me. He said: Saʿid ibn Abi Ayyub narrated to us, from ʿAtaʾ ibn Dinar—in al-Turaythithi’s original manuscript, it is ʿAtaʾ ibn Yazid—from ⦗133⦘ Hakim ibn Sharik, from Yahya ibn Maymun al-Hadrami, from Rabiʿah al-Jurashi, from Abu Hurayrah, from ʿUmar, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say: “Do not sit with the adherents of predestination, nor initiate discussion with them.”
