1983 – ʿAbd Allah ibn Muslim ibn Yahya reported: “Al-Husayn ibn Ismaʿil narrated to us; he said: ʿAli ibn Shuʿayb narrated to us; he said: Hajjaj ibn Muhammad narrated to us; he said: Yunus ibn Abi Ishaq narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu Juhaifah, from ʿAli, who said:
‘The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever commits a sin in this world and is punished for it, Allah—being supremely just—will not punish him a second time in the Hereafter. And whoever commits a sin and Allah pardons him, Allah—being supremely just—will not revisit anything He has already pardoned.”’
١٩٨٣ - أنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ يَحْيَى، أنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالَ: نا عَلِيُّ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ، قَالَ: نا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: نا يُونُسُ بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «مَنْ أَصَابَ فِي الدُّنْيَا ذَنْبًا، فَعُوقِبَ بِهِ، فَاللَّهُ ﷿ أَعْدَلُ مِنْ أَنْ يُثَنِّيَ عُقُوبَتَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ، وَمَنْ أَذْنَبَ ذَنْبًا، وَعَفَا عَنْهُ، فَاللَّهُ أَعْدَلُ مِنْ أَنْ يَعُودَ فِي شَيْءٍ قَدْ عَفَا عَنْهُ»
