1979 – ʿUbayd Allah ibn Muslim ibn Yahya reported: al-Ḥusayn ibn Ismaʿil narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd al-Raḥman ibn Yunus al-Sarraj narrated to us; he said: Baqiyyah narrated to us; he said: Bugayr informed me, from Khalid, who said: Abu Ruhm narrated that Abu Ayyub related to him that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Whoever comes worshipping Allah without associating anything with Him, establishes the prayer, gives the zakat, fasts Ramadan, and avoids the major sins—Paradise is his.” They asked, “What are the major sins?” He replied, “Associating partners with Allah, killing a Muslim soul, and fleeing on the day of battle.”
