1945 – ʿUbayd Allah b. Muhammad b. Ahmad informed us; he said: Jaʿfar b. Muhammad b. Nasif narrated to us; he said: ʿAli b. Ahmad al-Farisi narrated to us; he said: Abu Ghassan narrated to us, from Abu Qudamah; Thabit al-Bunani narrated to us, from Muʿawiyah b. Qurrah, who said: ʿAli remarked, “I hope that a servant’s repentance for his sins consists in his very remorse over them.”
