1929 – Muhammad ibn Ahmad al-Tusi related to us; Muhammad ibn Yaʿqub narrated to us, saying: al-ʿAbbas ibn al-Walid narrated to us; he said: ʿUqbah ibn ʿAlqamah reported that al-Awzaʿi informed him, on the authority of al-Zuhri, from Saʿid ibn al-Musayyib, who used to say: “Swearing a false oath is one of the major sins.”
