1926 – Muhammad ibn ʿAbd al-Rahman narrated to us, saying: Yahya ibn Muhammad ibn Saʿid narrated to us; Bundar narrated to us; Muhammad ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us; Shuʿbah, from ʿAbd al-Malik ibn Maysarah, from Abu al-Tufayl, from ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿAmr, who said:

“Four acts rank among the major sins: associating partners with Allah, feeling secure from Allah’s devising, despairing of Allah’s relief, and losing hope in Allah’s mercy.”
