1923 – ʿAlī ibn Aḥmad ibn Ḥafṣ related to us; Aḥmad ibn ʿAlī al-Murhibī narrated to us; al-Ḥasan ibn ʿAlī ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us; Abū Nuʿaym said: Fitr narrated to us, from Quraysh ibn Ṣaʿṣaʿah, from Shaddād ibn Maʿqil, who said: “We asked Ibn Masʿūd about the major sins.” He replied, “Killing and lying.”
١٩٢٣ - أنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَفْصٍ، قَالَ: نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمُرْهِبِيُّ، قَالَ: نا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: أنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، قَالَ: نا فِطْرٌ، عَنْ قُرَيْشِ بْنِ صَعْصَةَ، عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ مَعْقِلٍ، قَالَ: قُلْنَا لِابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ فِي الْكَبَائِرِ قَالَ: «الْقَتْلُ وَالْكَذِبُ»
