1899 – Muhammad ibn ʿAbd al-Rahman narrated to us; he said: Yahya ibn Muhammad ibn Saʿid narrated to us; he said: al-Husayn ibn al-Hasan narrated to us; he said: al-Muʿtamir ibn Sulayman narrated to us; he said: I heard Ismaʿil reporting, from Qays, from ʿAbd Allah, who said: “When a man says to his companion, ‘You are my enemy,’ one of the two has renounced Islam.” He added: Abu Juḥayfah informed me that ʿAbd Allah said, “unless he repents.”
