1897 – al-Hasan ibn ʿUthmān and ʿAlī ibn ʿUmar both narrated to us; they said: Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar al-Fārisī narrated to us; he said: Ṣāliḥ ibn Muḥammad al-Rāzī narrated to us; he said: Muḥammad ibn ʿUmar al-Qafṣī narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd al-Wārith ibn Saʿīd narrated to us; he said: al-Ḥusayn al-Muʿallim, from Ibn Buraydah, from Yaḥyā ibn Yaʿmur, from Abū al-Aswad al-Dīlī, from Abū Dharr, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Whoever claims to belong to someone other than his own father is not one of us; whoever lays claim to something that is not his is not one of us; and whoever accuses a man of disbelief or of flagrant sin, while the man is not as alleged, the charge will rebound upon the accuser.” Reported by al-Bukhārī.
