1896 – ʿAbd Allah ibn Muslim narrated to us; he said: al-Ḥusayn ibn Ismāʿīl narrated to us; he said: Muḥammad ibn al-Muthannā narrated to us; he said: ʿUthmān ibn ʿUmar narrated to us; he said: ʿAlī ibn al-Mubārak, from Yaḥyā ibn Abī Kathīr, from Abū Salamah, from Abū Hurayrah, said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “When a man says to his brother, ‘You disbeliever,’ the charge rebounds upon one of the two of them.” Reported by al-Bukhārī.
