1875 – al-Hasan ibn ʿUthman narrated to us; he said: Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Ziyad narrated to us; he said: ʿUbayd the cloth-seller narrated to us; he said: Saʿid ibn ʿUwaym narrated to us; he said: Yahya ibn Ayyub narrated to us; he said: It reached him from al-Hasan, who said, “Envy corrupts faith just as aloes corrupt honey.”
