1874 – Muhammad ibn Ahmad narrated to us; he said: ʿUthman narrated to us; he said: Hanbal narrated to us; he said ⦗1092⦘: Abu ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: Yahya ibn Saʿid narrated to us, from Ibn ʿAwn, who said: al-Hasan said, “Faith keeps its distance from a person for as long as he persists in that state; but when he comes back, faith comes back to him.”
