1857 – ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿUmar narrated to us; he said: al-Ḥusayn ibn Yaḥyā narrated to us; he said: al-Ḥasan ibn Muḥammad ibn al-Ṣabbāḥ narrated to us; he said: Shabābah narrated to us; he said: Waraqāʾ narrated to us, from Abū al-Zinād, from al-Aʿraj, from Abū Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ, who said:

“A fornicator is not a believer at the very moment he fornicates; a thief is not a believer at the very moment he steals; and a wine-drinker is not a believer at the very moment he drinks.”
