1825 — Muhammad ibn al-Husayn ibn Ya'qub informed us; Da'laj informed us. He said: Ahmad ibn Ali al-Abbar narrated to us. He said: Abu Ghassan—that is, Muhammad ibn Amr—narrated to us. He said: Ibrahim ibn al-Mughirah, who was an elderly pilgrim, narrated to us. He said: “I asked Sufyan al-Thawri, ‘Should I pray behind one who says, “Faith is speech without deeds”?’ He replied, ‘No—and he is entitled to no honor.’”
