1820 — Muhammad ibn Ahmad informed us; Uthman informed us; Hanbal narrated to us; Abu Abd Allah narrated to me; he said: Waki‘ narrated to us; he said: Sufyan narrated to us, from a man, from Tawus, who said: “People of Iraq, do you claim that al-Hajjaj was a believer?”

He said: Mansur also said, from Ibrahim: “It is blindness enough that one should be blind to the reality of al-Hajjaj.”

Mansur said, from Ibrahim: Al-Hajjaj was mentioned, and he said: “Surely, the curse of Allah is upon the wrongdoers.” [Hud 11:18]
