1819 — Ahmad ibn Abd Allah ibn Abd al-Rahman informed us; Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hatim informed us; he said: Umar ibn Shabbah narrated to us; he said: Abu Asim narrated to us; he said: Ikrimah ibn Ammar came to Ibn Abi Rawwad, knocked on his door, and said, “Where is this misguided man?”—meaning because of his irja’ (the doctrine of postponing judgment regarding faith).
