1793 — Ali ibn Ubayd Allah ibn Ahmad informed us: al-Husayn ibn Isma'il informed us. He said: Mahmud ibn Khidash narrated to us. He said: Malik Abu Hisham narrated to us:
“I was with Mis'ar as he was leaving the mosque. He rarely left ⦗1053⦘ the mosque without carrying some refuse away with him. Then a man met him and said, ‘Blessed are you, Abu Muhammad! You have been in this mosque for fifty years, fasting by day and standing in prayer by night.’ Mis'ar then said, ‘Would that I might die upon Islam.’”
