1791 — Isa ibn Ali informed us: Abd Allah ibn Muhammad al-Baghawi informed us: Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us: Abu Usamah narrated to us. He said: Al-Thawri said to me while he and I were alone in his house, with no third person present: “We are believers, and in our view the people are believers; this was not the practice of those who came before.”
