1782 — Abd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Ziyad al-Naysaburi informed us. He said: Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Umar al-Zahid narrated to us. He said: Ishaq ibn Abd Allah ibn Razin narrated to us. He said: Hafs ibn Abd al-Rahman narrated to us. He said: Mis'ar ibn Kidam narrated to us, from Ata ibn al-Sa'ib, from Abu Ubaydah, from Abd Allah ibn Mas'ud, who said:

“Beware of these attestations. If you must make them, then [remember that] the Prophet ﷺ sent out a detachment, and its men were killed. They said, ‘Our Lord, convey from us to our people that we are pleased and that You are pleased with us.’”

He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned that they had been killed and said: “They said, ‘Our Lord, convey from us to our people that we are pleased and that You are pleased with us.’ For He is His Messenger to you, informing you that they were pleased with Him and that He was pleased with them.”
