161—‘Isa ibn ‘Ali informed us. ‘Abd Allah ibn Muhammad al-Baghawi informed us. He said: ‘Ali ibn al-Ja‘d narrated to us. He said: Zuhayr narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from Sa‘d ibn Hudhayfah, who said:

I heard Abu ‘Abd Allah—that is, his father—say, “By Allah, no man departs from the congregation by even a handspan”—while gesturing by his thigh; the correct reading is with a dotted shin—“except that he has departed from the congregation.”
