1759—Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Ya‘qub informed us: Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hatim informed us: Ali ibn Yunus ibn Abd al-A‘la read: Ibn Wahb informed us that Malik narrated to him. Another route:
1760—Ali ibn Ahmad ibn Ya‘qub informed us: Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hatim informed us: al-Hasan ibn Arafah narrated to us: Isma‘il ibn Ulayyah narrated to us, from Rawh ibn al-Qasim, from al-Ala’, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, went out to the graveyard, greeted its inhabitants, and said: “Peace be upon you, abode of believing people. And, if Allah wills, we shall surely join you.”
The wording is that of Ibn Ulayyah’s narration. Muslim transmitted it through Malik’s narration.
١٧٥٩ - أنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ، قَالَ: أنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي حَاتِمٍ، قَالَ: قَرَأَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ يُونُسَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ: أنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَنَّ مَالِكًا، حَدَّثَهُ ح.
١٧٦٠ - وأنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ، قَالَ: أنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي حَاتِمٍ، قَالَ: نا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَرَفَةَ، قَالَ: نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، عَنْ رَوْحِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِلَى الْمَقْبَرَةِ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَى أَهْلِهَا فَقَالَ: «سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ دَارَ قَوْمٍ مُؤْمِنِينَ، وَإِنَّا إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ بِكُمْ لَاحِقُونَ» . وَاللَّفْظُ لِحَدِيثِ ابْنِ عُلَيَّةَ، أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ مَالِكٍ
