1738 — Muhammad ibn al-Husayn al-Farisi narrated to us. He said: Ahmad ibn Sa‘id ⦗1030⦘ al-Thaqafi narrated to us. He said: Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Dhuhli narrated to us. He said: Abu Ahmad al-Zubayri narrated to us. He said: I heard Sufyan—meaning al-Thawri—say on more than one occasion: “Faith increases and decreases.”
