1734 — Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman informed us; Abd Allah ibn Muhammad al-Baghawi informed us. He said: Suwayd ibn Sa'id related to us. He said: Abd Allah ibn Maymun related to us. He said: I heard Ibn Mujahid say ⦗1028⦘:

“I was with Ata ibn Abi Rabah when his son Ya'qub came and said, ‘My dear father, some of our companions claim that their faith is like Gabriel’s faith.’ He replied, ‘My son, the faith of one who obeys Allah is not like the faith of one who disobeys Allah.’”
