156—Ja‘far ibn ‘Abdullah ibn Ya‘qub informed us. He said: Muhammad ibn Harun al-Ruyani informed us. He said: ‘Amr ibn ‘Ali narrated to us. He said: Yazid ibn Zuray‘ narrated to us. He said: Sa‘id narrated to us, from Qatadah, from al-‘Ala’ ibn Ziyad, from Mu‘adh ibn Jabal, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Indeed, Satan is to the son of Adam as a wolf is to sheep: it comes upon them and takes the stray, the distant, and the isolated one.”
