1707 — Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Hashimi informed us: Abd al-Malik ibn Ahmad ibn Abd al-Rahman informed us: Hafs ibn Amr informed us: Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi informed us: Sufyan informed us, from Jami ibn Shaddad, from al-Aswad ibn Hilal, who said: Mu‘adh ibn Jabal said to a man, “Sit with us for a while, that we may affirm our faith”—meaning, that we may remember Allah, the Mighty and Majestic.
