He said: Abu Muhammad—that is, Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hatim—told us: Al-Husayn ibn Abd Allah ⦗1010⦘ al-Wasiti, the imam of Masjid al-Awwam (the Mosque of the Common People), told us: Abd al-Razzaq informed us: Ma‘mar informed us, from Abu Ishaq, from Silah ibn Zufar, from Ammar ibn Yasir, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: “There are three qualities which, whoever possesses them, finds through them the sweetness of faith: spending despite poverty, extending greetings of peace to everyone, and being fair to people even against oneself.”
