1694—Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman informed us: Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us: al-Husayn ibn al-Hasan narrated to us: Abd Allah ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us: Sufyan informed us, from Mansur. In another chain, Ubayd Allah ibn Ahmad ibn Ali informed us: Ahmad ibn Ali informed us: Ziyad ibn Ayyub narrated to us: al-Mu'tamir narrated to us, from Mansur, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja'd, from Ibn Abbas, who said: “No servant—or man—attains the reality of faith until he sees all people as fools in their religion.”
١٦٩٤ - أنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَ: نا يَحْيَى بْنُ صَاعِدٍ، قَالَ: نا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، قَالَ: نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، قَالَ: أنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، ح وَأنا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، أنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: نا زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، قَالَ: نا الْمُعْتَمِرُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: «لَا يُصِيبُ عَبْدٌ، أَوْ رَجُلٌ حَقِيقَةَ الْإِيمَانِ حَتَّى يَرَى النَّاسَ كُلَّهُمْ حَمْقَى فِي دِينِهِمْ»
